Jenn & Ronnie’s Yacht Wedding on the Detroit River
Some weddings feel like stepping into a dream, and Jenn and Ronnie’s day was exactly that—elegant, heartfelt, and set entirely on the water.
The day began with a touch of whimsy (the perfect word for this couple) as Jenn and Ronnie rented a vintage-style trolley to transport themselves and their bridal party to St. Clair Shores. They shared an intimate first look at the trolley—hands reaching out across the front of it, hearts pounding and smiles exploding as they saw each other for the first time. It was one of those magical moments where time seemed to slow down, and the love between them filled every frame.
This couple decided to make, "tying the knot" their theme for the day. Their ceremony and reception took place aboard the luxurious boat, Ovation, one of the signature vessels that make up Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters, where the couple exchanged vows overlooking the glimmering waters of Lake St. Clair. Embracing their nautical twist, their ceremony was officiated by the boat’s captain, as the soft breeze and lapping waves provided the perfect soundtrack to their “I do’s.”
At 7:00 PM sharp, it was "anchors away" as the newlyweds boarded their private yacht and began an unforgettable evening cruise along the Detroit River. As we sailed past iconic Detroit landmarks—Belle Isle, the Ambassador Bridge, and the Detroit skyline glowing in the evening light—it felt like the city itself was celebrating with them.
Dancing took place on the open-air third deck, a patio-like level that offered sweeping views of the river. Their first dance beneath the evening sky, with the Ambassador Bridge stretching above them, was pure romance—an unforgettable highlight of an already incredible day.
From the trolley ride to the twilight cruise, every detail of Jenn and Ronnie’s wedding was thoughtfully planned and full of joy. It was an honor to capture their love story in motion—set against a backdrop as vibrant and timeless as their connection.
