Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Lauwers.
Love brought them together, and on August 10th, 2024, surrounded by friends and family, they embarked on a new chapter of their lives. It truly was a "picture perfect" wedding day from the handsome couple, to the perfect weather, to the gorgeous locations.
They became Mr. and Mrs. at the immaculate Our Lady on the River Parish in Marine City, Michigan and then celebrated on the rolling hills of Lakeview Hills Resort and Vineyard in the picturesque village of Lexington.
Katie looked absolutely stunning in her fitted gown with beads, lace and sparkle detail woven throughout. The train of her dress shimmered in the sunlight and the lace throughout the gown was simply breath-taking. Jon was equally dapper in his gray suit with customized gold cuff links and gold tie bar.
Under the historic arches of the church, the bridal party marched down the aisle but there was no entrance that compared to when Katie entered the room. Jon was moved by tender emotion as he watched his lovely bride approach and had smartly prepared a handkerchief for the moment.
The reception held a gorgeous display of sage green and white linens, a spectacular floral chandelier over the head table, and outdoor accents to feature the couple's love of the mountains. Their emblem of a mountains-cape customized many details from the save-the-dates to their gift table and (my favorite detail!) customized bottle openers with a wood-burnt emblem on the handle to remind their guests of this special day.
Katie and Jon are the sweetest couple; full of kindness, loyalty, a deep love for one another and LOTS of laughter! It was such a joy to be a part of their day and to now know them as my dear friends!
