A SWEET CHAPEL WEDDING ON A "TWOS-DAY"
As I snapped my pictures of Mike and Sandy and watched them exchange sweet looks of love for one another, it warmed and melted my heart. This is what I love about photography; getting to peer in on a moment and capture that kind of emotion.
They picked a once in a lifetime date for their once in a lifetime day: February 02, 2022, (02-22-22) also referred to as "Twos-day" which even landed on a Tuesday! The ceremony started at 2:00 PM where these "two" would forever say "I do".
I met Mike and Sandy through our church, Colonial Woods Missionary Church. I've known Mike for years, and remember teaching his daughter Sunday School back in my youth pastor days. Sandy I just met recently, but we instantly hit it off. When they asked me to photograph their wedding I was ecstatic because I'd watched their journey together as a couple.
There were so many moments throughout Mike and Sandy's wedding day that I thought to myself, “This is why I love my job.” Their day was just so real and full of life's raw moments that make us human. From their first look, to moments of family being loud and wonderful, to our private session watching Mike whisper jokes in Sandy's ear. It was a beautiful day.
